Using Rubrics to Implement Professional Behaviors Assessment and Guide Student Advisement 

Recently, Sara Voorhees, Assistant Professor at Jamestown Physical Therapy Program discussed how ExamSoft’s rubrics tool can be used to conduct successful clinical evaluations and support student advising with in-depth reporting in her webinar, “Using Rubrics to Implement Professional Behaviors Assessment and Guide Student Advisement.”

The key takeaways from the presentation include:

1. Student buy-in for ExamSoft’s rubrics tool tends to be relatively easy because it allows students to see what educators are measuring throughout the curriculum.

2. Though you may be aware of student issues, the rubrics tool provides the objective data needed to address those issues properly in advising sessions.

She also discussed the step-by-step process involved with assigning appropriate categories to rubrics.
