The July 2015 bar exams just ended - and if previous years’ pass rates are any indication of what’s to come, this year’s results will likely represent some jurisdictions’ lowest yet. The National Conference of Bar Examiners, the organization that drafts the multiple-choice portion of the bar exam that almost every jurisdiction uses, states that the recent lower mean scaled MBE scores were the result of students being “less able” to pass the exam than examinees in previous years. This webinar will not debate the NCBE’s claim, instead, it accepts what might be the new landscape in legal education and explains what Lincoln Memorial University’s Duncan School of Law is setting in place to ensure that its graduates are passing the bar exam—from the first day students arrive on campus through the completion of Question 200 on the MBE. Learn about the law school’s diagnostic testing, its use of academic success resources and assessment tools throughout the curriculum, and the ways the program is making the bar exam just a bit less stressful for its graduates.
