Using Accreditation and Assessment Data in Pharmacy Technician Programs

August 13, 2015
Presented by Ms. Janet Liles, MSHS Currently in the United States, there are 50 regulatory boards shaping the scope of pharmacy technician practice. Entry into the profession varies by each states board of pharmacy. Educational requirements for entry span the range of achieving a high school diploma (or equivalent) to completion of a formalized education program. Currently, formalized pharmacy technician programs are programmatically accredited through a collaboration of the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) and the American Society of Health System Pharmacists (ASHP) known as the Pharmacy Technician Accreditation Commission (PTAC). The PTAC commission evaluates the extent the accreditation standard is achieved through assessment data, the results and associated quality of the program. This webinar will identify how the assessment of program learning outcomes, curriculum alignment, planning and the student experience support the accreditation and quality of pharmacy technician programs. Recorded May 19th, 2015
