Easy Path to Using Student iPads on Exam Day

August 13, 2015
Presented by Brother Christopher D. Hall, C.F.C., P.D. Vice President for Educational Technology at Bergen Catholic School "Bro. Hall, I lost my connection during the exam!" "Bro. Hall, my laptop isn't charged!" Bergen Catholic High School has embraced technology in the classroom, but always struggled with whether to use laptops, or iPads. This webinar will provide insight into our efforts to streamline the entire exam process from the creation and delivery of the exam, to scoring and feedback. We will explore the reasons for the new direction (i.e. offline exam delivery on an iPad & cloud-based exam management), the steps to implementation and associated challenges, faculty perspectives on the use and implementation of the new solution, the student body response, and the overall impact on our exam process. In addition, we will discuss how faculty are assessing student mastery of content and academic achievement, and our plans for the future. Finally, we will also review the reliability of the product and the appropriate infrastructure demands needed for implementation.
