What Have We Learned? Reflecting on the First Year of ExamSoft Implementation

Recently, Al Spiegel, Laptop Program Coordinator at Bergen Catholic High School, discussed his school’s experience during its first full year of using ExamSoft in his webinar, “What Have We Learned? Reflecting on the First Year of ExamSoft Implementation.”

The key takeaways from the presentation include:

1. Train in every department so that every faculty member has a point person.

2. Promote the use of ExamSoft’s Resource Page in the event of the absence of a physical point person.

3. Encourage faculty to play the role of an exam taker to test assessments prior to delivery to students.

Spiegel’s presentation gives insight into the successes involved with implementing an embedded assessment model in a high school setting. He also discussed areas in exam creation and deployment that are in need of improvement.

“There were a few initial hurdles, but now our process is pretty seamless and I would never go back to paper testing.”
