Utilizing Assessment Performance Data to Guide Curricular Decisions and Implementation

August 13, 2015
Presented by Dan Thompson, M.S., Education Innovations and Learning Design Manager, Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine Student assessment performance data provides educators the opportunity to learn functionality well beyond student grades. Specifically, through implementing the use of questions categories or tags, instructors can more accurately identify which teaching methods most benefit their students. Used correctly and efficiently, utilizing question categorization can foster instructor self-awareness regarding their teaching methods and the content they choose to pair with specific teaching methods. This presentation addresses the idea that appropriately researching and applying student performance data in a creative and efficient way will promote increased student learning outcome performance on high stakes, summative assessments by guiding curricular decisions and classroom implementation. Recorded June 16th, 2015
