The University of Queensland School of Medicine in Brisbane, Australia, recently completed its first ExamSoft assessment.
The decision to move toward new exam technology was due to the efforts of the university’s Clinical Lead Educator, Dr. Tammy Smith. She championed the use of ExamSoft as a means of efficiently meeting her medical program’s assessment needs.
Sixteen medical students elected to be a part of the school’s pilot group, taking their first summative exam using ExamSoft’s embedded assessment tool. Testing went smoothly, with all 16 students finishing their exams successfully. With the first exam out of the way, students and staff eagerly anticipate an expanded pilot, which the University of Queensland plans to implement next year.
