Tools of the Trade: Using Course Level Curriculum Maps and Exam Level Blueprints to Align Outcomes,
Faculty create course syllabi to address a specific set of desired learning outcomes. Assignments, activities and assessments are then generated to support the teaching and learning of those outcomes. Unfortunately, all that work often gets reduced to a grade on an exam or the final course grade. Join us for a webinar that will present basic course-level mapping and exam blueprinting tools that encourage faculty to transparently align course outcomes with the teaching/learning activities and assessments and also demonstrate how resulting data can then be used by faculty to document curricular changes and by students to reflect on progress toward meeting desired learning outcomes.
